Costume Design embodies clothing concepts oriented towards the various performing arts. With training dedicated to theatre, it allows contact with other disciplinary areas such as cinema, television, opera, and dance. The Costume Designer creates costumes and materializes garments by patterning and sewing; studies and builds period costumes; designs and executes wardrobe props and accessories. The costume designer coordinates the wardrobe; the making up at the costume shop and the budget; ensures the maintenance and organization of a wardrobe and costumes for a show; accompanies shows on tour.
