The Master’s Degree in Biochemistry in Health is aimed at the development of knowledge in Advanced Biochemistry, in order to boost the professional and academic progression of health practitioners. The course encompasses the areas of diagnosis and therapy and it is, for that reason, particularly addressed to graduates in Health and allied Sciences.

The Master’s Degree in Biochemistry in Health is an up-to-date course, endowed with a solid configuration that distinguishes it from its peers, in areas such as Systems Biology and ‘omics’ (Genomics, Proteomics and Metabolomics, Cytomics, Pharmacogenomics and Bioinformatics). Besides this, the programme also comprises a strong and distinctive Clinical component, namely Molecular Pathology, Clinical Pathology, Immunohistochemistry, Clinical Biochemistry, Molecular Diagnosis, among others. A specialization in Biotechnology is also included, with modules linked to Environmental, Food and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, not excluding Bioinformatics, Chemistry and Microbiology. Students can choose the areas in which they want to focus their study. In the third semester, they can specialize in Applied Biochemistry and study subjects of all the existing branches.
