The current information society requires skilled communicators able to structure or classify information from specialists concerning new product development, information design, effective communication with customers, end users and other audiences.
The image, quality and, above all, good use of products and/or services are closely related to the technical documentation accompanying them. There will be few - or even nonexistent - products and/or services that do not require some kind of instructions or guidelines, which naturally include user manuals, troubleshooting, online help, tutorials and infographics.
On the other hand, the efficient use of product functionalities or the quick resolution of problems, based on the supporting documentation, results in a time reduction. This is especially relevant in company/customer communication, contributing to reducing costs, customer satisfaction, and, in many cases to their safety.
The Postgraduate Diploma in Technical Communication is unique in the Portuguese market and is offered in 2 semesters (7/8 months), in a laboratory environment, with post-work schedule, twice a week. Both ISCAP faculty members and invited technical communicators will be teaching in this programme.
