The growing demand for quality and knowledge in the hotel and tourism industries, which resulted from the modernisation of the national financial system, was the decisive factor in the creation of a post-graduation programme in Financial Management for Hospitality and Tourism Establishments. This programme is the brain-child of the management department from the School of Hospitality and Tourism, Polytechnic Institute of Porto.

The programme provides advanced vocational training with the clear objective of promoting transversal skills to financial management, which are central to the global understanding of the financial area of the organisations in the tourism and hotel sectors.

The programme features a 386-hour vocational work placement or, alternatively, the student may opt for taking a minimum of 18 credits from the curricular units that are part of the Master degree in Hotel Management (check here).

The teaching staff combines scientific accuracy and professional experience in the areas of management and consultancy. Thus, the successful conclusion of the post-graduate programme ensures not only solid technical preparation but also professional appreciation.
