This course is aimed at training students to:
Understand the importance of a global Health
Know the biological and physiological alterations throughout life
Analyze and identify modifying and non-modifying factors in specific populations (infants, adolescents, adults, womens health and elderlies)
Select and justify the choice of different assessment instruments to evaluate and monitor interventions among specific populations (infants, adolescents, adults, womens health and elderlies)
Analyze and critically assess scientific evidence and its practical application to specific populations (infants, adolescents, adults, womens health and elderlies)
Plan and critically analyze health promotion programmes conducted among specific populations (infants, adolescents, adults, womens health and elderlies)
Demonstrate communication skills towards specific populations (infants, adolescents, adults, womens health and elderlies)
Demonstrate skills in behavioral changing strategies
Prescribe physical exercise (based on the concepts of global postural reeducation and Pilates) to a specific population (infants, adolescents, adults, womens health and elderlies)
Demonstrate capacity to select technological facilitators and equipment for specific populations (infants, adolescents, adults, womens health and elderlies)
Be capable of using the international classification of functionality in specific populations (infants, adolescents, adults, womens health and elderlies)
Assess the elderlys mental health
Analyze the relationship between physical exercise and executive function in elderly patients.

Target Audience
1. Owners of a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy or other legally equivalent degree, or a diploma in similar areas;
2. Owners of a foreign academic degree in Physiotherapy or similar areas, awarded after completion of an undergraduate programme structured according to the Bologna Process, issued by a state adhering to this same Process;
3. Owners of a foreign academic degree that might be recognized as fulfilling the objectives of the Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy by the Technical and Scientific Council of ESTSP;
Owners of an academic, scientific or professional resume in Physiotherapy or allied areas that might be regarded, by the Technical and Scientific Council, as a certification to attend this study programme.
