BSc: 3 years (180 ECTS units)
Chemical Engineering holds a unique position linking molecular sciences and engineering. Traditionally associated with energy and combustion systems, chemical engineers are now leading new developments in the fields of health, biotechnology, advanced materials, energy, consumer products and environmental solutions.
With the BSc in Chemical Engineering, ISEP trains engineers capable of managing product and processes projects in both industrial and laboratory environments. Students acquire multidisciplinary knowledge that prepares them to work with industrial production, quality control, environmental management, energy and development of new products and materials.
Focused on technological innovation and sustainability, the course covers core areas of engineering and specific components of chemical engineering. Each semester, students develop case studies and lab projects. The final project can be developed with companies or research groups.
Recently, ISEP students presented studies on the optimization of biodiesel production process; Kaizen implementation methodologies in a refinery; monitoring effluents; development of new pavement products; water quality control; beer and milk production, among other examples.
Postgraduate Studies Graduate students can continue their specialization with the MSc in Chemical Engineering.
