GIAP offers individual career counseling services and advice to support decision-making throughout the student’s academic journey and/or professional and vocational development and career. This service is extended to higher education candidates.

CAREER COUNSELLING & CAREER DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS
P.PORTO students and recent graduates can book an appointment with a Professional Career Counselor or a Career Coach to build self-awareness through exploring your interests, values and personality preferences | get personal feedback | get advice on a well-structured and target CV, cover letter or application form | go through some potential interview questions, tests and assessment centers | get advice regarding job-hunting | and ask questions about career opportunities.
In addition to the individual sessions, we also design and run regular career development workshops throughout the academic year, usually organized around a simple five-step program: assessment, exploration, focus, strategy and presentation.

COMPANY DATING
This initiative was inspired by the romantic concept of speed dating, and promotes a lively meeting (10 min 'speed interview´ per student) between companies and candidates - welcomed in an informal and relaxed atmosphere with coffee, music and candlelight’s. Because sometimes it does not take more than a cup of coffee and a chit-chat to find out if a company and a potential employee match.

CAREER NETWORKING DAY
Replacing the traditional job fair, twice a year we organize an event called “CAREER NETWORKING DAY”. This is a hybrid event with four distinct formats (company dating | mentor dating | masterclass | brainstorming), bringing together students, alumni, academic staff, career professionals and companies. Focusing on reciprocal partnerships and strong relationships with stakeholders, we want to transform our office into hubs of connectivity and provide tailored solutions/services.
