The Polytechnic of Porto celebrates 35 years in a ceremony to be held at the Sports Center, located at Rua Dr. Roberto Frias, no. 602.
The Solemn Session, scheduled to start at 3 pm, will be attended by the President of the General Council, Professor José Marques dos Santos, and the President of the Polytechnic of Porto, Professor João Rocha.
The anniversary also has a musical moment, starring the ESMAE Big Band, made up of Jazz students from the School of Music and Performing Arts (ESMAE).
The year 2019 was, moreover, marked by several events of a scientific, institutional, cultural, social and artistic nature that the Polytechnic of Porto was able to offer to the community, the city and the country.
Over the past year, many people from the institution have stood out, contributing and encouraging the growth of P.PORTO. Thus, we celebrate those who lead the innovative spirit, the investigative effort, the distinctive feature of our pedagogical model, competitiveness and excellence. Some of these people will be honoured during the ceremony, also highlighting those who over 20 years and 40 years made the Polytechnic of Porto the institution it is today.
