The 30th Congreso Internacional de la Asociación para la Enseñanza del Español como Lengua Extranjera (ASELE) 2019 is already scheduled: September 4 to 7, 2019 at ISEP.
With the organization of the Department of Foreign Languages of the School of Education of the Polytechnic of Oporto this is the first time that the Board of Directors of ASELE decides to hold its congress outside of Spain and bring it to Porto, a city and region with strong cultural ties with Galicia and with Spain.
The theme chosen is Internacionalización y enseñanza del español como LE/L2: plurilingüismo y comunicación intercultural and is divided into three thematics: Spanish foreign language (LE / L2) as an international language, intercultural communication and teacher training, and pedagogical and multilingual competence.
As for the guest country, this year is Mexico. Taking into account the importance of Spanish in higher education courses and the focus on the quality of teaching this language, ESE did not hesitate to support the project initiative of the Technical-Scientific Unit of Foreign Languages.
