The School of Technology and Management (ESTG) celebrated, on November 18, 20 years. The commemorative program marked the desire to recognize and value the talent and professional success of current and former ESTG students, with several moments dedicated to honoring two decades of public higher education in the Tâmega and Sousa region.
The ceremony was marked by the intervention of Isabel Ferreira, Secretary of State for Development and Cohesion, and was attended by the President of the Porto Polytechnic, João Rocha, city councilors of the Tâmega and Sousa region and several partners and representatives of the local business. The anniversary was also the chosen moment for the presentation of the project of the Felgueiras Technological Incubator, a partnership between ESTG and the municipality.
For Dorabela Gamboa, President of ESTG, this day marks a milestone in the school's existence and a celebration of the project: “We are very proud of our history and the results achieved in these 20 years,” she says, adding that this celebration was above all a moment to tribute the community that contributes and strengthens the ESTG project every day.
The president also remembered those who established the ESTG project, namely “Eurico Lemos Pires, founder of ESTG, together with Luís Soares, the current president.”
