On Wednesday, April 3, P. PORTO gathered 27 representatives of Higher Education of Bosnia-Herzegovina, under the program STINT - Strengthening of internationalization of B&H Higher Education.
Representatives of the Ministry of Education, directors of the eight public universities, staff of the international offices, representatives of two Bosnian evaluation and accreditation agencies and students from various universities met at P.PORTO's Presidency Hall of Sessions with the goal of discussing strategies, projects, capacity building, good practices for internationalization and mobility in Higher Education.
The meeting, led by Mónica Vieira, representative of P.PORTO in the partnership of this project, was attended by Carlos Ramos, vice president for internationalization, research and innovation at the Politécnico do Porto, Alberto Amaral, chairman of the Board of Directors of Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education (A3ES), and Carla Carneiro from the Office of Cooperation and International Relations of the Presidency Services.
For three days, the entourage will have the opportunity to visit other projects, offices and Extension Units, such as Porto Design Factory, recognized by the global dynamism of the project or the e-Learning and Pedagogical Innovation (e-IPP) unit.
Dejan Bokonic, project coordinator and vice-chancellor of the University of East Sarajevo, emphasizes the long-standing cooperation with Politécnico do Porto in the most varied projects, highlighting the current situation as an ideal for developing internationalization strategies adapted to the specific needs of each Bosnian university. "After a strategic assessment of our context, we proceeded to a comparative analysis, always with the objective of developing our own competencies. This seminar is the final touch of the preparatory study we have been developing."
