Politécnico do Porto joined the digital platform Portugal Polytechnics, an project developed in partnership with the Coordinating Council of the Polytechnic Institutes (CCISP).
Approved in 2016 by COMPETE 2020, with a total investment of € 609,129.82 and co-financed by the ERDF at € 517,760.35, the project is promoted by 11 polytechnic institutes and two nursing higher schools.
Currently, the project involves about 25 elements of the polytechnic network, among which Politécnico do Porto, and among other objectives, it establishes a collective and identity mark of Polytechnic Higher Education (ESP); to promote a strong presence of ESP in the international markets identified as priorities (Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries, Latin America and Asia) and to hold institutional meetings; attract new students and international teachers and promote the improvement of the conditions of reception and stay; hold national meetings dedicated to internationalization, with a view to share integrated experiences between Portuguese Polytechnic Higher Education and industrial companies; collecting, processing, analyzing and disseminating all the information related to internationalization in the institutions of Polytechnic Higher Education.
The platform, also linked to the prestigious European network UASnet - Universities of Applied Sciences Network, challenges international students to know Portugal, providing detailed information about each of the institutions and their respective training offer (bachelors and masters degrees).
