Politécnico do Porto marks, for the first time, presence in the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) ranking that lists the best universities and polytechnics in the world, the World University Rankings 2019.
In the list of the British publication, released on September 26, Politécnico do Porto stands in position 601 to 800, once THE's ranking is done by block intervals.
Some of the highlighted indicators are: the number of citations, with a result of 64.9 points; relations with the industry, 34.1 points; the area of internationalization, with a result of 31.6 points; and the quality of teaching, 12.2 points. In one of the most important indicators, Citations (Research Impact), P.PORTO registers the highest index among Portuguese universities (position 190 at European level, and 408, globally). In total there are 13 Higher Education Institutions represented in this ranking, in 2011 there were only four.
Recognized internationally as one of the most prestigious rankings in the world, the Times Higher Education World University Ranking is already in its 15th edition and takes into account the opinion of employers about graduates, measuring the perception of the quality of each institution.
The last European ranking of the same publication, the European Teaching Rankings 2018, ranked P.PORTO among the top 100 HEIs at European level in the area of education.
To all who contribute daily to these good results, our thanks.
