Centre for Research & Development in Mechanical Engineering (CIDEM)
CIDEM is a research centre hosted at P.PORTO’s Engineering School.
CIDEM gathers a set of crucial and fundamental scientific research, experimental development, professional training and service rendering activities in the scope of Mechanical Engineering. The Centre promotes scientific knowledge in specific research areas with a hands-on approach, by fostering the exchange of science with counterpart institutions, and carrying out various training initiatives.
CIDEM contributes actively to the process of development and modernization of the country's productive sector, namely through research, development and consultancy work. The Centre is a means for the dissemination of knowledge thanks to publications issued and the systematic hosting of conferences and symposiums
